Discover the Rhythms
of Sabbath

We were made by God to live within rhythms and limits, writes author Pete Scazzero. And yet, we meet so many leaders who do not live it themselves nor do they encourage others to keep rhythms. Actually, quite a lot of leaders are at the brink of giving up or going into burn-out, after two years working endlessly in the pandemic.

One of these essential rhythms, established at creation, is to honour the Lord by keeping the Sabbath. The Sabbath is a 24-hour period once a week that is made holy unto the Lord by ceasing from work and living in delight.

It’s far more than a “day off”. Sabbath is a day set aside to stop, rest, delight, and contemplate the beauty of God. As many leaders are busy on a Sunday, when else can you live your Sabbath?

On this recommended podcast, Pete explores this countercultural practice that cuts to the very heart of our beliefs about God and ourselves:
